Around here winter tends to linger, and our first sights of spring are typically big ones. Giant icebergs float down the coastline of Iceberg Alley in Newfoundland & Labrador all the way from Greenland. The 10,000 year old chunks of ice often ground near the coastline and many rural communities.
The community of Topsail in Conception Bay South is known for its sunsets and 5 degree temperature difference from the capital city of St. John’s. A hike up to what’s known as Topsail Bluff from the nearby Topsail Beach makes for an amazing backdrop for iceberg and whale watching.
