Zee Avi – Concrete Wall (RAC Mix)
It’s no secret that we’re big fans of the Remix Artist Collective (RAC) here at Remix86, but I think this is actually the first time we’ve ever posted one of Andrew Maury’s remixes.
His most recent remix of Zee Avi‘s Concrete Wall is a sultry mix of sublime feminine vocals and complimenting guitar and synth riffs. One of my favourite things about RAC mixes is that their accompanying sounds, while alluring and powerfully skillful, never take away from the vocalist or the original track that they are remixing. Andrew and Andre definitely have their own unique styles, but there’s no denying that they each share an incredible talent for producing.
RAC recently announced their intention to release their first original full-length album later this year: “as of today I have 37 tracks written for the upcoming album. Somehow I need to narrow it down to 10/15.” Mostly known for their remixes, we’re anticipating that their originals will have a similar style and feel, and will surely not disappoint.
