The snow and sleet have stopped, the wind has died down, and Hot Biscuit and I have woken up to a pretty chill and relaxing Sunday. And with their being so many disgustingly good new tunes recently, we figured we’d post them as a Sunday Playlist so you can add a little disco to your day. Hope you enjoy.
Goldroom’s title track off his recently released Angeles EP should cure what ails ya, alcohol induced or not. A blissfully breezy extended play with a daytime disco / soft funk vibe, purchasing it will be the best decision you’ll make for your ears today.
Le Crayon and his mate Oxford have teamed up to remix one of my favourite tracks from Metronomy, Heartbreaker. Fantastic job.
Rimer London brings soul, funk and sensuality with his remix of Backseat (video link) by Staygold (aka Savage Skulls).
Damn, Italian producer Stereocool (Andrea Cipria) has been rolling into 2012 hard with his super fresh style of funk and crazy frequency of new works as of late. Here’s his latest.
Stardust is about to release this huge EP from Nox Nox on Tuesday and it features absolutely massive remixes from Tobtok, Kreap and DJ EQ, definitely a must-have. I must say I was really impressed with Tobtok’s remix, he stepped out of his usual sound and went for a progressive house vibe, great work.
And winner for hottest disco edit goes to the ever-so talented Australian flex of DCUP. Disco daze for days.
FAAAAAARE SOOOOOOLDI!!! God damn it, if you’re feeling the least bit groggy this morning, fret no more, this track will make you feel like you’re an eight ball and a half bottle of Patrón deep at a Penthouse penthouse party. Two mentions for Stereocool today, his version has just as much fire as the original, incredible tracks!
