New Stuff From Francophilippe, Loopalike, Dime A Dozen, Keljet and Chameo

Yup, that’s where I wish I was right now, on some tropical paradise. Why? I live on a frigid northern rocky island with constant wind chill and a 7 month winter season. But hey, I guess I have those 3 weeks of summer to look forward too…
I’m going to cope with the chill by the only way I know how, with hot tracks guaranteed to move feet and generate heat. We’ve been quite busy lately, (working overtime to pay for Coachella :D ) so I’m gonna do a couple bulk posts to keep you on top of the newest. Allons-y!
UK funk master Francophilippe hits heavy with his latest original track, offering a mildly dark and menacing chorus paired with absolute funk madness, this is great. Check the mad Daft Punk influenced anime space vid here.
Dutch producer Loopalike is no stranger to massive club shaking sounds, but his latest original work is f**king bonkers. He’s currently looking for a label for this, and if you ask me any label that picks this up would be lucky to do so. But if there are no biters than he might give this away at 1000 SC followers, it’s a win-win for us french and disco house enthusiasts, so follow him anyway if you’re not already.
Dime-A-Dozen is a new project from Canadian producer Thierry Roland and his mate Kevin Kim. We’ve heard fantastic sounds from Thierry before, but now he’s using this new collaboration to give him the chance to grow and expand his musical knowledge. “As of right now our plan is to crusade Ontario and help spread the disco vibes, leave people wanting more, and hopefully create some demand for the sound.”
At first I was thrown off by their seemingly random method of chopping samples, but before I knew it I was bouncing to “Game Theory”, and I couldn’t look for more than that in a track. Keep an eye on these two dudes.
This is my first encounter with Dutch outfit Keljet. Not a drastic alternate to the original, but I took a liking to their remix of Goldroom’s “Night In Nantes” immediately.
Damn, Chameo is not wasting a beat. With disco/french house banger “WOW” still one of the hottest jams in our DJ set, the Danish producer sets his sights on Fallulah’s. Verdict? Awesome.
Happy Monday tout le monde,
-Wicks
