Good morning everyone, and what a good morning it is. Not only do we have the day off due to Labour Day, but we woke to some absolutely fantastic sounds from UK producer Blende. For those with a french touch tooth for acts like Justice and SebastiAn, this will be your new favourite single.
Fake Love is a frenzy of keys, violin stabs, and electro grind. Rebecca (from Rebecca and Fiona) provides the vocals, and from the moment you hit play you’ll be moving your feet and singing every word.
Backed by solid remix support, this release features versions by Villa, The Living Islands, and Chordashian. Villa’s take on the track keeps the energy nice and punchy, retaining a lot of the electro style from the original. The Living Islands push the track straight to the pool, bringing a delightful nu disco/poolside disco vibe. Boston duo Chordashian really impressed me with their take on the track by bringing the tempo down a few notches and creating a slightly more moody atmosphere.
Overall, an excellent release and it will be available on September 17th from Belgian label Eskimo Recordings.
If you fake love, you can take love.
